THE PORTAL OF NEWS RELEATED TO NOKIA
New SDK released for Series 40: Nokia SDK 1.1 for Java :
The final version of the Nokia SDK 1.1 for Java is now available for Series 40 development. Among the main new features it includes In-App Purchase API which is available on Series 40 phones which have Java Runtime 1.1.0 for Series 40. The In-App Purchase API allows purchasing digital content during runtime without exiting the application. The SDK includes the API library, detailed documentation and the new SDK emulator (based on Nokia Asha 303) provides a simulation tool for testing in-app purchasing.
In addition to in-app purchasing, the emulator allows developers to simulate device capabilities which were opened for 3rd party developers in the previous Java runtime release, Java Runtime 1.0.0 for Series 40: these and the other new features of that release are fully supported in the new Java Runtime 1.1.0 for Series 40 (more information about the Java runtimes including related devices, see the links to the release notes on the bottom of this blog post).
The device capabilities include battery level and mobile network system properties like Mobile Country Code (MCC) and Mobile Network Code (MNC) which can be set via tool preferences in the SDK. Furthermore, capabilities like IMEI, network status and network signal can be simulated when acquired on Java code level via system property method calls.
