Nokia offers two JavaScript APIs allowing you to create browser-based applications that display maps and places-related information. In addition, our RESTful Web service can be accessed from any Web-enabled device.

Maps API for Java ME :

The Maps API for Java ME is designed for application development on Java ME-capable phones such as the S40 and S60 devices. It supports all the usual functionality of map rendering, geocoding, reverse geocoding, routing and positioning. A map view can be embedded in a MIDlet and enriched with a variety of map content objects.

The Places API for JavaScript allows Web developers to create mashups with location-specific information combining text, maps and images. The API supports local search and discovery, and theretrieval of a wealth of place data, including the place name, address, contact details, map, rating, and rich content from partners and users, to create an interactive user experience.
