Nokia launches 5 new handsets : 27 feb 2012

Nokia launched five new handsets at its press conference at the Mobile World Congress, Barcelona, today.


In what aims to be the Finnish handset maker’s biggest launch yet, the 808 PureView combines a 41 megapixel sensor with a Carl Zeiss lens and the ability to record video in 1080p Full HD. It also features Dolby headphone technology and Dolby Digital plus for 5.1 channel surround playback. The phone will run Symbian Belle.
Nokia Lumia 610 is a highly affordable windows phone which runs Windows Mango 7.5 and runs on a lower processor and memory than conventional Windows Phones, made possible by a Microsoft software release. It is available in white, cyan, magenta and black and european pricing has been estimated at euro 189, roughly Rs 12,000/-

Nokia’s three Asha phones aim to capitalise on its s40 range of phones by bringing feature-packed phones at an attractive price.
The Asha 303 supports Mail for Exchange, features a full QWERTY keybaord and allows users to access chat services such as WhatsApp. It runs a 1Ghz processor and is 3G enabled.

The Asha 202 and 203 feature 2.4 inch touchscreens with conventional keyboards, with the Asha 202 being a dual sim phone. The phones also support EA games and in future NOKIA S40 Maps .
